The Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale welcomes Keith Kosse to the tenor section. Keith is self-employed as an IT consultant, specializing in IBM Power Systems, with the I5 operating system.
Keith received his musical training at NDSU, and has sung in many church choirs. He is a past member of the Master Chorale of Fargo-Moorhead.

Soprano: Pam Burns
Originally from Crosby, North Dakota, Pam Burns the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale welcomes Pam Burns to the soprano section. Pam comes from a musical family and began studying French horn and piano at a young age, along with singing in church and school. She became excited about choral music when she had the opportunity to attend the International Music Camp and performed under
Weston Noble. Pam has a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary music education from Minot State University. She has taught in Fargo Public and Catholic schools, directed choirs at First Presbyterian Church in Fargo, directed the Red River Boy Choir, and most recently, was the Artistic Director of the Lake Agassiz Girls Choir from 2003-2014. She is currently in graduate study at the NDSU School of Music. She is a member of the American Choral Director's Association; and is currently the North Central Repertoire and Standards Chair for Children's and Community Youth Choirs.
Away from music, Pam, and her husband, Mike, enjoy their four grown children and four adorable grandchildren.
Bass: Carl H. WichmanCarl is the senior veteran member of the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale, having been a member for well over twenty-five years. Carl has sung under all, but one, director! Carl is the assistant director of the North Dakota State University Bookstore, where he supervises the text book and general book departments. He has been involved in book distribution since 1978 and is an avid reader. Carl holds a Bachelor of Science in vocal music from Minnesota State University-Moorhead. He has been a member of the First Lutheran Church Choir for over twenty years and has been a member of the Fargo-Moorhead Opera Company, and appeared in productions of the Fargo-Moorhead Cmmunity Theater.
Tenor: Michael J. Burns, AIA
Mike has sung in the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale since 2002. He is a member of the tenor section and was the president of the organization from 2009-2011; and serves on the Resource Development committee. Mike is the President of MJB Architects LTD. in Moorhead, Minnesota. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects. Mike lives in Fargo and Mike and Pam have four adult children and three grandchildren.
Mike attended Minot State University and is a graduate of North Dakota State University. In addition to singing in the Chamber Chorale, he also sings in the choir of First Presbyterian Church in Fargo.
Alto: Lorelee Benz
Lorelee is from Glyndon, Mionnesota and returned to the Fargo-Moorhead after living in Des Moines, Iowa, Chicago, Illinois, Houston, Texas and Vienna Austria She has been with Bell State Bank and Trust for seventeen years, and also serves as the part-time pastor at Baker-Downer Presbyterian Church in Baker, Minnesota.
Lorelee is a graduate of Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa, with a Bachelor of Music degree concentrating in vocal performance and percussion. She has performed with the Des Moines Symphony Chorale, the Houston Symphony Chorus, the Fargo-Moorhead Opera and many church choirs.
In addition to singing in the Chamber Chorale, Lorelee serves on the Chamber Chorale's Board of Directors and works on the Resource Development Committee. Lorelee and her husband, Ryan, live in Fargo.
Soprano: Karin Almjeld
Karin Almjeld is a veteran singer in the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale. She is an Administrative Assistant at Appraisal Services, Inc. in Fargo, North Dakota, and is the past president of the Board of Directors. Karin grew up in a musical family, with her father being a choral and symphonic conductor. In addition to singing in the Chamber Chorale, Karin chairs the Resource Development committee.
Soprano: Nicole Wischnak
A native of Moorhead, Nicole holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Cultural Music from Concordia College, and a Master of Science in Management-Managerial Leadership Emphasis from The Minnesota School of Business. She currently is the Scheduling Coordinator at Solutions Behavioral Healthcare Professionals, and the Piano Accompanist at St. Odilia's Catholic Church in Fargo.
Nicole has always had a love and passion for music. While at Concordia, she was involved in numerous ensembles including The Concordia Choir, Liturgical Choir, helped established The Vocal Jazz Ensemble, and Piano Accompanist for various activities. She has sung in numerous productions with The Fargo-Moorhead Opera Company, and currently sings with The Master Chorale of Fargo-Moorhead. This is Nicole's second year with the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale.

Tenor: Michael SiggerudMike is a retired music educator an school administrator. He currently is an adjunct instructor at Minnesota State University-Moorhead. This is Mike's fourth year with the Chamber Chorale, and he also keeps busy by singing in the Master Chorale of Fargo-Moorhead and the St. Joseph's Church choir. He has also performed in several productions of the Fargo-Moorhead Opera.
Mike received his Bachelor of Music degree from Concordia College, his Master of Science from Minnesota State University-Moorhead and his PhD from North Dakota State University.
Alto: Ruth A.. Popkin
Ruth is a recent transplant to the Fargo-Moorhead area, coming to us from Worchester MA. She has recently been appointed the pastor of Salem Lutheran Church in Hitterdal, Minnesota.
Ruth sang in church choirs throughout her youth, and participated in a performance of the J.S. Bach Mass in B Minor, using period instruments. She was a member of Kantori at Valparaiso University, under the direction of Lorraine Brugh. She has participated in community choirs and is a lifetime member of Sigma Alpha Iota, the women's professional music fraternity. She is skilled in the vocal performance of Broadway tunes, and vocal jazz, in addition to choral music.
Ruth, and her husband, Alex, live in Fargo. Away from singing, Ruth enjoys crocheting, reading and travel.
Tenor: Grant SharstromGrant begins his first year of singing with the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale. He is exciited to join the tenor section. Grant is from Wilmar, Minnesota and very much enjoys ensemble singing.
Soprano: Meagan McDougallThe Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale welcomes Meagan McDougall to the soprano section. Meagan enjoys singing and attributes her love of music to her very musical family. She is a graduate of Concordia College, and was a member of The Concordia Choir. Before transferring to Concordia, Meagan sang in the choir at Northwestern College.
Tenor: Eric SaariEric has several years of experience as a music educator, teaching vocal music and piano. Currently he is a substitute teacher in the Fargo Public School system. Eric recently completed his Doctor of Musical Arts degree, with emphasis in choral conducting, at NDSU. This is Eric's first year in of singing in the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale.
Alto: Jessica Stoertz
Jessica calls herself a confused cosmopolitan. She was born in Germany, grew up there, and is an American citizen. She came to Moorhead in 2007 to attend Concordia College and finds herself still in the upper Midwest. She is the Operations Manager at Men's Warehouse in Fargo.
Jessica begins her second year singing in the Chamber Chorale. While at Concordia, she sang in the Chapel Choir, and at home, she sang in a gospel choir, "The Glory Singers for ten years. Jessica has been strongly influenced by her musician parents, and has been singing since she was five!
Soprano: Erin Gaffaney
Erin is in her second season of singing with the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale. She is the K-4 music instructor for the Perham MN school district. During her free time she enjoys photography, attending performing arts events, all things "music nerdy" and her cat. She claims to be a quintessential "cat lady."
Erin is a graduate of Carthage College in Kenosha, WI with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. She is also a graduate of St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor of Science in Vocal Music Education. While in St. Cloud, she was a member of the Great River Chorale. She is a member of the National Association for Music Education.
Soprano: Julie Hagen
Julie Hagen is the Coordinator of
Music Education; and the conductor of Bel Canto,the women's choir, at Concordia College. She is from Rochester, New York, and spent eleven years of teaching music in public schools, prior to beginning her work at Concordia. She has a Bachelor of Music degree from Ithica College, and a Master of Music and PhD in Music Education and Choral Conducting from Michigan State University. She is a member of the American Chorale Director's Association and the National Association for Music Education.
Julie, and her husband, Jordan, have one son and live in Fargo. This is Julie's first year of singing in the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale
LeeAnn is enjoying her fifth year of singing in the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale and has a distinct love for choral music. Originally from Bismarck, North Dakota, she is a teacher of kindergarten through fifth grade music in the Fargo Public School System. She is a member of the Chamber Chorale's Board of Directors, and coordinates the silent auction for 'A Singing Valentine.'
LeeAnn received her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from North Dakota State University, and a Master's of Music from Minnesota State University-Moorhead. She is an active member of the American Choral Directors Association, the National Association for Music Education, the Organization of American Kodaly Educators and is the vice-president of the Northern Plains Kodaly Chapter.
LeeAnn is certain to sing every day, and she also enjoys hunting, fishing, scrapbooking and playing with her two cats.
Bass: Paul Hindemith
Paul Hindemith is delighted to return for his second year with the Fargo Moorhead Chamber Chorale. The Omaha native is currently assistant professor of voice at Concordia College, and has taught at Omaha North High School, the University of South Dakota, the Trollwood Performing Arts School, and privately. Paul graduated summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University in Dallas with a major in Vocal Music Performance and minors in Chemistry, Math, and German. He holds a master's degree from the Maryland Opera Studio at the University of Maryland - College Park, and a doctorate from the University of Minnesota. Ensemble singing has been a major part of his musical life from an early age, beginning with the Opera Omaha Children's Chorus. He has sung with the SMU Meadows Chorale, the Omaha Chamber Singers, the Opera Omaha Chorus, the Basilica of St. Mary (Minneapolis) Cathedral Choir and Schola Cantorum, and the Minnesota Opera Chorus.
Paul's professional career has taken him from coast to coast and overseas performing opera, oratorio, operetta, musical theatre, and art song. Hailed as "touching and expressive" by the Washington Times and as "vocally and theatrically sturdy" by the Baltimore Sun, the baritone has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra, and the San Diego, Utah Festival, Ohio Light, and Fargo-Moorhead Operas among others. Recently, Paul made his European debut in Pergolesi's La serva padrona with the Grumo Festival. Favorite roles include the title role in Don Giovanni, the baker in Into the Woods, and Jud in Oklahoma. Paul appears with trumpeter Peter Knudsvig on a recording of Bach arias published by the International Trumpet Guild; he also appears as Baron Weps in the Ohio Light Opera's recording of Carl Zeller's The Birdseller. Paul has been a 2012 finalist in the National Association of Teachers Singing Artist Award Competition for the north central region, and has twice been a finalist in the Michael Ballam International Opera Competition.
Alto: Julie Jerger
Julie is an administrative assist for Houston Engineering, Inc. and is the resident secretary for the Buffalo-Red River Watershed district. Julie, and her husband Dennis, live on a dairy farm near Barnesville, Minnesota and they have two children, Mike and Katie.
Julie has been involved in music for most of her life. She is the Senior Choir director at St. James Church of Christ in Barnesville, Minnesota. Before joining the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale seven years ago, she sang in the Geneva Eschweiler Singers in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the Fergus Falls Summer Theater and the Fargo-Moorhead Opera chorus. Julie attended college at Minnesota State University-Moorhead and was a member of the Concert Choir.
Bass: Casey Bartz
By day, Casey Bartz is a Doctor of Optometry at Moorhead Vision Associates, but evenings or weekends, he keeps busy as a church musician by playing piano and organ. Dr. Bartz lives in Moorhead and enjoys home improvement projects, landscaping, supporting the fine arts in FM, and travel.
Casey is a graduate of Concordia College. While at Concordia, he studied voice, piano and organ, and sang in the Concordia Choir. This is Casey's second year of singing in the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale, and he appreciates being involved again with a fine choral ensemble.
Tenor: Brian Wittman
Brian Wittman begins his twenty-fifth season with the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale. In addition to his singing duties he is the President the Chamber Chorale's Board of Directors and chairs the production committee. He maintains the Chamber Chorale's website and serves on other various committees.
Brian is a graduate of North Dakota State University and received his musical training at Bemidji State University, where he sang in the Bemidji Choir and studied choral music with Paul Brandvik.
Brian has been the senior technician and production stage manager for the Fargo-Moorhead Opera Company; working on over sixty opera productions. He has been a technician, producer and production stage manager for numerous musical and theatrical productions through-out the area, including Moorhead, Fargo and West Fargo Schools. Along with singing in the Chamber Chorale, Brian enjoys classic cars, politics, road trips and writing. His latest project is the restoration of a 1977 International Harvester Cub Cadet garden tractor.

Alto: Lexy Steinle
Lexy teaches general music at Robert Asp Elementary in Moorhead, MN. She is an active member at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fargo; where she is the Youth Director and directs the children's choir.
Lexy is a graduate of Concordia College and sang in The Concordia Choir for three years. This is Lexy's second year of singing the the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale.
Tenor: Paul Lindquist, MD
Paul is a veteran member of the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale; now in his ninth season. He is a graduate of Concordia College and he sang in the Concordia Choir, under Paul J. Christianson; and studied voice with June Rauschnabel.
Paul and Kathy have three adult children. Paul plays trumpet in the Trinity Brass Ensemble at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead; and has been a member of the Master Chorale of Fargo-Moorhead
Alto: MaryAnn Berg
MaryAnn sings alto with the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale. She is a twenty-six year veteran of the Chamber Chorale! She is a past member of the board of directors, and currently serves on the Chamber Chorale's Resource Development committee. After spending twenty-five years as a fundraising manager for Meritcare (Sanford Health) and for the YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties, she volunteers her many talents with several area organizations. She currently serves on the board of directors for Churches United for the Homeless and has been a member for the F-M Symphony board of directors.
MaryAnn enjoys spending time with her eight grandchildren and attending all the basketball games and gymnastics meets that she can. She sings in the Choir at First Lutheran Church in Fargo, and is a past member and director of Acappela Express and the Master Chorale of Fargo-Moorhead. She also has sung in the choir at Pontoppidan Lutheran Church and taught piano in her home for fourteen years.
MaryAnn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota. When not keeping busy with her family, music, or community organizations, she loves to travel.
Bass: Doug HermanDoug says his first inspiration to sing was in church at the age of 6. He is in his fifth year of singing in the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale and also serves on the Board of Directors. Doug is a judge in the East Central District in North Dakota, and was appointed to the bench in 2004 by Governor John Hoven. He has been the general council to Great Plains Software and a practicing attorney through the Vogel Law Firm in Fargo. In addition to singing in the Chamber Chorale, Doug also sings in the Master Chorale of Fargo-Moorhead.
Tenor: Nolan SuttonNolan has been singing in choirs since grade school, and is proud to be a member of the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale. He studied choral music at Minnesota State University-Moorhead under Paul Nesheim, Dan Mahraun and Julie Adams; and sang in the MSUM Concert Choir. He has also been a member of the Minnesota All State Lutheran Choir and the Great River Chorale. This is Nolan's second year of singing in the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale.

Soprano: Regina Lieberg
Originally from Duluth, Minnesota, Regina, loves to do just about anything outdoors. While attending Concordia College, she uncovered a passion for all things international. Gina works for the Gallo Family Vineyards, representing wine to liquor stores throughout northwestern Minnesota. In her spare time, Gina enjoys running with her dog, reading with her book club, and singing.
This is Gina's third year of singing in the Chamber Chorale. She is also a member of F-M Opera, and has previously sung in the Master Chorale of Fargo-Moorhead. While in college, she sang in both The Concordia Choir and the Concordia Chapel Choir.

Bass: Noah Ford-Dunker
Noah Ford-Dunker is in his first year of singing in the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale. He is a 2013 graduate of Concordia College, where he studied music, Latin and business. Currently, Noah is a digital marketing specialist for Swanson Health Products in Fargo. In his off time, he enjoys cycling, trivia, coffee, wine and fine food.
Noah has been singing in choirs since eighth grade. His family often sings together. He has sung in the First Presbyterian Youth Choir; and Mannorchor, the Vocal Jazz Ensemble and the Concordia Chapel Choir at Concordia College.
Soprano: Anne Gassmann
Anne Gassmann is in her second year of singing with the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale. She currently directs choirs at Red River High School in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Prior to her appointment at Red River High School, she taught grades 5-12 music and directed the choir at Barnesville Public School in Barnesville, Minnesota; and was the interim choir director at Shanley High School in Fargo.
Anne is a member of the American Choral Directors Association. She received a Master's Degree in Choral Conducting from North Dakota State University along with a previous Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from NDSU. Anne says that she has thouroughly enjoyed working with Dr. Jo Ann Miller and Dr. Michael Weber throughout her education.

Soprano: Kathy Lindquist
Kathy grew up singing. She, and her twin sister, sing from the time they could walk, through high school and college. Kathy is experienced as both a singer and director, having directed several adult choirs and many youth choirs. She is in her first year of singing in the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale, and joins her husband, Paul, a veteran of the choir. Kathy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from Concordia College, and has taught middle school band and choir at Oak Grove Lutheran School, and has taught voice and piano privately.
In addition to singing, Kathy plays French horn in the Trinity Brass Quintet and directs a children's choir at Trinity Lutheran Church. She is a past member of the Master Chorale of Fargo-Moorhead, and a past director of the Lake Aggasiz Girls Choir.
Away from music, Kathy enjoys keeping fit through diet and exercise, and loves to cook. Kathy and Paul have three adult children and two granddaughters.
Soprano: Carley Grandner
The Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale welcomes Carley Grandner to the soprano section. Carley is the choir director at Hawley Public Schools, and she very much enjoys her work there. she is a graduate of Concordia College and sang in the Concordia Choir and in the Vocal Jazz group.
Away from singing, Carly loves playing and watching sports. She also frequents the Food Network whenever she can.
Carly credits her grandmother for sharing the love om music with her, and she wants to sing for the rest of her life.
Bass: Rodney W. Capistran
Rod is in his twelvth year singing bass in the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale. He is an Instructor of Mathematics at Fargo North High School. Rod received his PhD in Mathematics Education from the University of Minnesota, his Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Iowa, and his Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Music Education at Bemidji State University, where he studied choral music and sang in the Bemidji Choir under Paul Brandvik; and studied trombone with Thomas Swanson.
Rod's family is musical. Along with singing in the Chamber Chorale, Rod also sings in the First Lutheran Church Choir. His wife, Jane, teaches violin at Concordia College and plays in the F-M Symphony. His daughter and son both are active participants in music organizations.
Bass: Joshua DahlJoshua Dahl is in his first season of singing in the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale. He teaches music in the Fargo Public School system. Josh is a graduate of Concordia College where he studied music education and sang in The Concordia Choir. He is a past member of the Grand Forks Master Chorale. Josh lives in Fargo, and he and his wife, Jennie have two children.
Tenor: Mark Gealy
Mark has sung with the Fargo-Moorhead ChamberChorale since 1996. Earlier choral affiliations include the Master Chorale of Fargo/Moorhead, First Plymouth Church, Lincoln, NE and Wellshire Presbyterian Church, Denver, CO. Even longer ago, Mark sang with the concert and touring choir at Hastings (NE) College during each of his four collegiate years there.
Inspired by the revival of folk music in the 1950’s and 60’s, Mark began playing acoustic guitar at an early age. He maintains a modest repertoire of his own arrangements of folk/roots songs, and is currently recording his first album of cover songs.
Mark makes his living as a scientist. He earned MS and PhD degrees in physics from the University of Denver. Following a research fellowship at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, he joined the faculty of Concordia College in 1990.
He enjoys life at home with his wife and two cats. Together they collect and enjoy good books, Native American art, fine wines, and small toys that squeak.
Bass: Tanner Dockendorf
Tanner is a 2014 graduate from Concordia College. His major field of study is biology, and he now is employed with Alderman, a locally-founded biotechnology company.
Tanner sang in The Concordia Choir for three years, and has been involved in choral singing for most of his life. When he isn't singing, he enjoys running, reading and spending time with family and friends. this is tanner's first year of singing in the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale.
